OUR STORY
HOW WE MET
Jules & Maria met as college students at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2011. It was at the Lied Library on campus where both souls came together in a brief instance. Jules was pledging for his fraternity at the time and Maria with her sorority. It was customary for the men of the fraternity to introduce themselves to the women of the sorority. Jules approached Maria and introduced himself not knowing the fate that lied ahead. They would cross paths from time to time but remained friends throughout the years. And although both lived separate lives from the time they first met, it was in 2020 when they reconnected at their good friends’ engagement party. Jules noticed Maria from across the room. And it was at this moment he only had eyes for her. Jules decided to approach Maria, with the casual intention of asking to get together some time. She happily said “yes” and the rest is history. Since that moment, both souls connected again and have remained happily in love and inseparable for the next 6 years.
THE PROPOSAL
It was on November 26, 2024 when Jules proposed to Maria in their beautiful home surrounded by their family and friends. It was disguised to be a Thanksgiving party when in reality, the guests knew Maria was soon to be proposed to. The secret was kept for months. The plan was to distract her and lure her outside of the house while family and friends helped set up roses shaped like a heart in the living room, bordered by candles, with lit up letters in the background reading “MARRY ME.” The setup took a few minutes and soon thereafter, Maria was called back in. She was met with silence and contained elation from everyone as she walked towards the living room, with only the candles lighting up the space. She joined Jules in the center as he got down on one knee. As she threw her phone in her hand across the carpet, Jules expressed his love and proposed. The room then burst into excitement and joy while the two hugged, as though they were the only two people in the room. Just pure happiness in the moment. Celebrations continued as confetti showered the couple along with cheers, tears, and applause. This was the day their journey to a loving marriage began…
